After finishing in 1st place in the Northern division, the St. Thomas Aquinas Senior
Girls Basketball Cardinals earned its way into the Tier 2 championship game November
22, 2002 against Mt. Carmel, who were first place finishers in the southern division.
The Cardinals defeated the North Park Vikings 35-28 in the quarterfinals, and played
an outstanding game in beating St. Marguerite D'Youville 51-44 in the semi-finals.
The Cardinals played Mt. Carmel evenly through most of the championship game, but
finally were beaten 35-25. Congratulations to the players and coaches for an outstanding
