The St. Thomas Aquinas Junior Girl Cardinals went 4-1 in the preliminary round robin. In an exciting 29-27 win over
the Riverdale Raiders with the winning basket in the last 2 seconds, the team went to the finals against Hamilton's St. Brebeuf,
which had previously defeated the Cardinals in the preliminary round 17-13. In a very hard-fought match, with both
teams fatigued playing their seventh game that day, the game went back and forth, with our Cardinals capturing the
Championship with a 28-22 victory.
