The St. Thomas Aquinas Junior Girl Cardinals traveled to Mr. and Mississauga to participate in the annual
Rick Hansen Junior Girls Basketball Tournament. The team scored a strong 52-27 victory over the Erindale Raiders.
In the night match, the Cardinals faced off against the 2-time defending champion Dundas Highlanders, and went
to double overtime in an extremely entertaining match that Aquinas won 40-38. In the championship match, the
Cardinals went against the Assumption Crusaders, and held off their late rally to score a nail-biting 45-44 victory.
