The Junior Football Cardinals opened their season at home against the St. Marguerite D'Youville Panthers.
The Panthers struck first with a converted touchdown, but the Cardinals struck back and were up by three
(unconverted) touchdowns, but the Panthers fought back with two
quick touchdowns in the 4th quarter, to close the gap to 26-21. The Cardinals, against the increasingly
heavy winds, marched down the field from deep in their own end to score a hard-earned touchdown and two-point
convert. But the Panthers scored another touchdown on the subsequent kickoff return. However, it wasn't enough
as the Cardinals ran out the clock after the short kickoff for a 34-27 victory. Here are some pictures from the action.
