Remembrance Day
November 11, 2010

Remembrance Day is a day to remember the sacrifices of soldiers of previous generations in World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War and many peacekeeping missions, and soldiers of today in places as Afghanistan, who have fought and sometimes died to allow our country to maintain the freedoms we continue to enjoy. Here are a few pictures from the memorial service at St. Thomas Aquinas, featuring Mr. Compagnon speaking of the great lives and nice things we can enjoy in Brampton because of the sacrifices of veterans, Mr. Tobin remembering his uncle surviving two sixty-flight tours as an air force pilot, Captain Frank Ellis speaking of his experience and memories as a veteran, and former Aquinas student Corporal Cameron Kidder speaking of his recent tour in Afghanistan, and the work and he and his fellow soldiers have done and continue to do there. The service also had stirring musical presentations from the senior band and choir, and a dance to Hallelujah from a selection of pathway dancers, and a memorable video slideshow by Bailey and Daniel.
