The Secret Life of Girls
February 24, 2012
|
St. Thomas Aquinas entered the 2012 Sears Festival with the all-female ensemble drama The Secret Lives of Girls, by Linda Daugherty.
The play focuses around Abby, a high school girl who joins her school's championship volleyball team. Invitations are extended or withheld,
friendships are dropped, and alliances are formed and changed daily as the girls move back and forth between exclusion and acceptance
of each other. Bullying in the form of gossiping, keeping secrets, name-calling, spreading rumours and nasty manipulation lead to
unhealthy behaviors such as depression, cutting and eating disorders. Here are a few pictures from the production in the Brian Dunn Theatre. |
