Electra

The Grade 12 RAP Drama class presented the ancient Greek drama Electra. The story involves King Agamemnon of Argos
sacrificing his eldest daughter to bring clear winds for travel, a really good reason. Unsurprisingly, the King's wife Clytemnestra
does not take that well, and she and her lover Aegisthus kill Agamemnon in a rage. Their second daughter, Electra, gave Agamemnon's
infant son Orestes to their most loyal servant to shield him from death. Electra mourns her father's death and is punished for it,
complains a lot, and waits for Orestes return to bring punishment and suffering to mommy and her sister Chrysothemis,
who has gone along with the regime of new King Aegisthus. Here are a few pictures.
