Edward Albee A to Z

The Grade 12 RAP Drama class presented the first of two performance in its spring season on May 7-8. The night featured
two of American playwright Edward Albee's early one act plays. The first was American Dream (pages 1-6), an often humourous satire on family life
which explores the falsity of the American Dream, with an emasculated but rich Daddy, a domineering Mommy,
a mouthy Grandma and two visitors who change the lives of this family. The second was Zoo Story (pages 7-9), a story of an
isolated and despondent man, Jerry, who promises to tell a story about his visit to the zoo to an executive, Peter, a man in Central Park just
to read in solitude. But instead, Jerry tells Peter tales of his lonely life and uses Peter to carry out a tragic ending.
Here are a few pictures from the two plays.
