The Girls Flag Football played their home opener against the St. Michael's Thunder. At times moving the ball
well on offence, the Cardinals were consistently unable to get the ball into the endzone. Down 6-0 late in the 4th quarter, the Cardinals
took over the ball with less than a minute left in the game at midfield, and scored an improbable late TD with a spectacular 50 yard run
after a pass reception, tying the score 6-6. In overtime, the Cardinals completed the comeback, winning 8-6, and running their record to
2 wins and no losses in the Tier 1 North Division.
