3rd seed Holland faced off against 4th seed Italy in the annual Indoor Soccer League Championship game. Italy opened the scoring on a strong individual run
down the middle of the gym by Olatoke Aliu, but Holland responded during a power play with a blistering kick by Shakir Nichol to make it 1-1 at the half.
Despite end to end action in the 2nd half, the teams could not score. In the five minute overtime, Holland dominated, especially in the final two minutes, keeping the
ball in Italy's end, and were rewarded with a goal from a sharp angle by Jose Castro with 2 seconds left to give Holland a 2-1 win and the championship trophy.
