St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, Brampton, Ontario Varsity Girls Basketball Playoffs November 14, 2022 The St. Thomas Aquinas Cardinals went into the playoffs sporting a perfect 7-0 record, facing the visiting Cardinal Leger Lancers. The Cardinals started the game on fire, opening a 14-1 lead with several 3 point baskets. The Lancers fought back, with Aquinas leading 18-13 at the half. Into the early part of the 4th quarter, the Lancers took a 26-23 after a 3 pointer, and the momentum had swung. But the Cardinals kept fighting, and pulled out a gritty 31-28 victory with making a 8 cluth free throws in the final minutes. Here are few pictures from the game.
