The Championship Finals of the Indoor Soccer League were played bright and early 7 a.m. in the Aquinas gym with Arsenal (Brown) facing off against Crystal Palace (Red).
In the first half, Arsenal kept taking one goal leads, only to have Crystal Palace respond, with the half ending in a 3-3 tie.
In the second half, Crystal Palace scored
two goals in succession to take a commanding 5-3 lead, but Arsenal responded with two goals in the latter stages of the second half to tie it up 5-5. The game went to penalty kicks,
with nobody scoring until the fifth Crystal Palace shooter scored on a nice low shot, and Arsenal could not respond with a goal. Crystal Palace are the champions with
a 6-5 victory. Here are pictures from the game.
