1 is the Citadel of Saladin, built by Salah ad-Din (Saladin) and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. It was the seat of government in Egypt
and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years from the 13th to the 19th centuries.
3 is a market in Cairo.
5 and 6 show Gezira Island in the Nile River.
7 and 8 show apartment complexes, which stretch for miles and miles. Cairo is home to over 10 million, 21 million in the metropolitan area.
9 and 10 show the approach to the Pyramids of Giza.
