Picture one is a monument at Hellnar to the guardian spirit Bardur. Picture two is the local restaurant using traditional earthen roof that helps to keep the heat in during the winter months.
Pictures five through nine and the top panoramic shows the black sand beach of Djupalonssandur, where ancient fisherman dragged their boats and tested the strength of aspiring fisherman.
Pictures eight and nine, show the entrance to Shangri-La, where if you walk through, you enter a warm, fertile' land paradise, where you will live forever. But I could be wrong about that.
