1 to 4 show the northern coast of Naxos by the village of Apollonas.
5 and 6 show Apollonas.
7 to 10 show the Kouros of Apollonas and the plentiful marble still available on Naxos. A kouros is a young nude male large statue, this one identified
in 1932 as Dionysos, the god of the grape harvest. This 80 ton statue was begun around the 7th or 6th century BC, and its not clear why it was abandoned.
11 is the view of Apollonas by the Kouros.
