Above: Crossing the causeway into Panama City.

Below: Pictures 1 to 10, watching a large cargo ship coming from the Pacific into the Panama Canaal, going through the second of the two Miraflores Locks. Boats are charged by weight. The average cost for a boat to go through is $120,000 U.S. The most expensive was just over $400,000. The cheapest - $0.36 for a gentleman who swam through the entire 50 mile canal.
Pictures 11 and 12 show a small boat and tugboat, the latter assisting cargo ships through the canal without hitting lock walls or the canal floor.
