On Day 1, I arrived at the Rio Hato airport, a not at all busy airport that is used primarily for tourists coming in from Canada (one of the tour guides said the
tourists permitted to land at this airport were Canadians and Panamanians) and occasionally military operations.
We were bused to the Royal Decameron Farallón, located in the small village of Farallón about 3 km. from the airport. It's a large resort, with 852 units,
three buffet restaurants, eight a la carte restaurants, eleven bars, nine pools, a theatre with nightly entertainment, a massive sandy beach and
a quite efficient excursion company run by the hotel.
The first evening the show was Latin Beat, featuring eight dancers from the Royal Decameron dancing to a variety of Panamanian and
other Spanish music. At the end of the show, the dancers and audience members get together in front of the stage and up into the Anfiteatro.
The show was also performed again on January 28th, and a few pictures from the end of that performance are included.
Prior to the main show of the evening was a kids show, and bingo.
