On Day 4, Donna, Andy and myself returned back to San Francisco, but not before stopping for a hike in Big Basin Redwoods State Park, established in 1902,
with 10,800 of old growth redwoods forest and 130 km of hiking trails. Unfortunately, 97% of the park were consumed by wildfires in August 2020, but most of the
trees survived due to the in the bark, and already the forest canopy is starting to recover. Trees here grow to over 300 metres and some are 50 metres in circumference.
