On Day 5, Donna, Andy and myself took the Golden Gate Bridge north to go to Muir Woods National Monument, located about 20 km north of San Francisco.
It protects 554 acres, of which 240 acres (97 ha) are old growth coast redwoods, which grow as high as 260 metres. After, we stopped in the resort town
of Sausalito in Marin County for a harbour stroll and a seafood dinner.
