Cuban lawyers, who are not paid by the case but on a salary basis, complained of having to complete too many divorces, so Fidel has now limited the number
of divorces for any Cuban to 7. And this number has significantly decreased the number of cases a lawyer has to complete?!?!? How many divorces did
a Cuban average, I wonder. Our tour guide, 38 and never married, said she still lived at home, and could never move out while
single, and would have a hard time finding a home even if married, due to a severe housing shortage.
