We ended up at a little ranch to ride horses. About 15 minutes mounting the horses and about 15-20 minutes riding the horses as
they walked at a leisurely clip (which the horses seemed to know by heart) on a well-worn trail through the grass fields nearby. My horse
was calm and responded quite well to a slight tugging of the reins to stop, so I survived with no injuries.
