On Day 4, I found a post office, mailed a few postcards and then journeyed over to the left bank of Paris, the area south of the Seine River and the Île de la Cité.
I visited such places as the Jardin du Luxembourg, Université de La Sorbonne, Église Saint-Sulpice and the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and
then a walk along the Seine River to Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral.

Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France, for a new residence she constructed, the Luxembourg Palace.
The garden today is owned by the French Senate, which meets in the Palace.
