Above: A plan of Auvers-sur-Oise, showing the key locations related to Vincent van Gogh and other attractions.
1 to 6 show the wheatfields that Vincent van Gogh painted in 1890, including one of his last, and more famous paintings, Wheatfield with Crows (#3).
7 and 8 show the Atelier de Daubigny, the studio of the painter Charles-François Daubigny (1817-1878).
10 and 11 show the Musée de L'Absinthe. Absinthe is anise-flavoured alcohol, from 45% to 74% alcohol, which was banned in France, the U.S.
and most of the world, because it's basically toxic. Absinthe was revived in France and other locations in the 1990's and made legal in 2012.
