The first two pictures are from the exterior courtyards of Santa Croce.
Pictures four through eight, and the panoramic, are views of and from the Ponte Vecchio, the main bridge across the Arno River, which since medieval
times has housed merchants and people, and today continues as a market of expensive stores with jewellry, leather and luxury goods, mixed with stalls of
trinkets for tourists. First built in 996, floods and destruction eliminated several bridges until the current one built in 1345.
Picture ten is Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall of Florence, which now houses a replica of Michelangelo`s David, the original moved from the piazza to the
Accademic Galerie in 1873 to preserve it.
