On Day 1, I arrived in Funchal, Madeira in the early afternoon, and after checking into the Enotel Magnolia Hotel, I walked to Funchal city centre.
The highlight was a walk down Rua de Santa Maria, a street filled with restaurants and homes featuring doors and walls with colourful artwork.
