|
The réfectoire (refectory) in the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey Church, where members of the religious community take their meals together.
1 and 2 show old wooden carvings of biblical scenes, the second one with an angry-looking angel wanting to smite a scantily clad couple.
3 to 5 show the interior of the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey Church ... the pipes of the organ, the nave and the traditional entrance.
6 and 7 show the stained glass in the tiny St. Madeleine Chapel off of the réfectoire (refectory) in the lower level of the Abbey.
8 are examples of the ornately carved columns in the crypts below the top floors.
9 is the very old Chapel St. Martin, dating around 1031-1047.
