Paris: Day 7
June 17, 2022

Above: Looking back at Mont-Saint-Michel, walking away in the blazing sun on a 2.6 kilometre walk back to the parking area in 37 C. heat.
Walked because of the huge lineups for the shuttle, at least one of which was not working ... I guess it didn't like moving in the heat either.
1 to 3 show the Grande Roue, the wheel that prisoners would walk in to haul supplies up from below on the chain hanging out the window.
4 shows pillars in the crypts below the top and main floors.
5 is a statue of the archangel Michael.
6 shows a very young duck hiding in the rocks, seemingly lost from its mother.
5 are examples of the ornately carved columns in the crypts below the top floors.
7 to 10 shows the walk down the main road in the Mont-Saint-Michel village, with the drawbridge arch exit in #10.
