1 shows the Canopic shrine that contained Tutankhamun's internal organs, with the goddesses Isis, Nephthys, Selkat and Neith on the outside.

2 shows a Ka statue of Tutankhamun in with a Khat headdress, from 1336-1327 BC.

3 shows a funery statue of Pharaoh Psusennes I, 1039-991 BC., who ruled from the coastal city of Tanis instead of Memphis (Cairo) or Luxor.

4 shows the end of Yuya's coffin.

5 shows the swollen belly statue of Pharaoh Akhenaten, wearing a kilt and double crown, signifying his dominion over Lower and Upper Egypt.

6 shows a statue of Augustus, the first Roman emperor 27-14 BC, who ruled over Egypt after Cleopatra VII of the Ptolemy dynasty killed herself.

7 shows the head of King Userkaf, known for elevating the sun-god Ra as the major god of Egypt, reigning 2496-2491 BC.

8 shows a craftsman at the museum.

9 and 10 show my berth on the more than thirteen hour night train to Aswan, with a Stella beer (not at all Stella Artois) provided by one of our
tour guides to smuggle onto the train.
