Above: The Sehel (Seheil) Island granite quarry, with hundred of painted rocks. These inscriptions were usually left by those
travellers marking either the start or end of their journey to Nubia, a land that encompassed southern Eygpt and northern Sudan.
1 and 2 show us travelling along the Nile ... in #2, that bag is not a dead body of an annoying tourist that I accidentally dropped there.
3 shows us arriving at Sehel Island.
4 to 10 show some of the many rocks with hieroglyphs of travellers bragging about their trips to and from Nubia.
The message from Tilly in #7 may not be one of those.
